Speed Up Slo-Mo Videos on iPhone
Use the editing options in the Stock Photos app on your iPhone to speed up your slow-motion video.
Start the process by opening Photos on your iPhone. Tap Albums in the bottom bar of the app, then choose Slo-Mo.
Select the slow motion video you want to bring to normal speed. When the video launches in full screen, tap “Edit” in the top right corner.
At the bottom of the edit page, you will see two types of vertical lines. The lines that are closer together reflect the normal speed of the video. The lines that are far apart indicate the slow speed of the video.
To speed up your video, drag the bracket bar from the beginning of the widely spaced lines to the right where the lines end.
Unlike before, all vertical lines are now the same. Tap Done in the lower right corner of the screen to save your changes.
Your slow motion video is now a normal speed video and you can verify that by playing the video in the Photos app. You are done.
Speed up regular videos on iPhone
Use Apple’s free iMovie app on your iPhone to increase the speed of a regular video.
Start by downloading and launching iMovie on your iPhone. On the ‘Projects’ screen of the app, tap ‘Create Project’.
In the ‘New Project’ menu, select the ‘Movie’ option.
Choose the video you want to speed up from your gallery. Then tap “Make Movie” at the bottom of the screen.
On iMovie’s timeline, tap your newly added video. Then tap the speedometer icon in the tool list at the bottom.
Above the speedometer icon, you will see a slider that allows you to decrease or increase the speed of your video. To speed up your video, drag this slider to the right (towards the rabbit).
Then save your project by tapping “Done” in the top left corner.
Back on the project page, to export your accelerated video, tap the up arrow icon.
Select “Save Video” from the menu that opens.
Choose the video quality.
iMovie will export the accelerated video to your Photos app and you’re all set.
