The new option is available through the new BoostOne app, where they can play very simple games or watch ads, and get coins to lower their phone bills. Apparently, for this payment model, Boost Mobile is inspired by the in-game reward ads in popular games like Fortnite and Candy Crush.
Obviously, it takes time to earn enough coins to pay your entire phone bill. For example, one of a carrier’s Boost Coins is the equivalent of one cent, and watching an advertisement for a few seconds will earn you two Boost Coins. Another way to earn Boost Coins is with the “spin to win” wheel, which rewards players with just five cents or a whopping $5.
Interestingly, Boost Mobile plans to extend its “watch and earn” payment model to phones, meaning you’ll soon be able to buy the carrier’s handsets using Boost Coins.
