At Google I/O, tech giant Mountain View gave us a glimpse of the upcoming Pixel 7 series, without revealing much about the two phones. Yes, this doesn’t really count as an official announcement and it’s more of a teaser, but the tech giant has revealed the colors in which the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be available. Here we will talk a little bit about it.

Pixel 7 colors
Google has decided to refresh the Pixel’s flagship while keeping the unique camera bar (but this time it has an aluminum finish). The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro share the Obsidian and Snow colors, but the difference is that the Pixel 7 also has Lemongrass as a color option, a fresh and youthful-looking color. Here are the Pixel 7 colors:
Pixel 7 in Obsidian
The Pixel 7 in Obsidian is an almost completely black look; but not alone. The phone is said to have a soft-touch finish on the back, so we expect this color won’t attract as many fingerprints as it would if it was glossy (like the glass on the Pixel 6). It is a deep and dark color and the aluminum camera bar matches the look with a darker gray shade.
From what we can see from the above image (the black Pixel 7 is the Obsidian color at the very top of the image above), the phone’s frame is also tinted in a dark gray color to match the overall polished and sophisticated look. .
The Pixel 7 in Obsidian isn’t actually produced by rapidly cooling lava, unlike the stone that inspired the color, but it does manage to match the deep and mysterious look of the Obsidian stone.
Pixel 7 in snow

White, clear, soft to the touch – this is what the Pixel 7 in Snow looks and probably would feel like. The name of the color leaves nothing to the imagination and at the same time evokes associations with the peaceful but undisturbed snow on an early winter morning. Visualizations aside, the Pixel 7 in Snow does indeed look premium. We’ll see what the white will look like in real life, but for now we’ll assume it will be a clear and straight forward shade of white. Complemented by a silver frame and camera bar, the Pixel 7 in Snow looks sleek and premium. We can’t wait to see this phone in person.
Pixel 7 in lemongrass

Lemongrass for the Pixel 7 is the color option to pick if you’re looking for a refreshing and fun phone. Indeed, in the images Google released, the color looks quite lemony and it turns out to be the prettiest color option of the bunch.
The Pixel 7’s camera bar and frame are also tinted in a matching hue.
Pixel 7 Pro Colors
The look of the Pixel 7 Pro is a bit different from its smaller brother and in particular the camera bar has an extra lens. There’s another difference: Google mentioned during the I/O keynote that the Pixel 7 Pro will rock a polished aluminum camera bar, so it’ll look even more exclusive compared to the regular Pixel 7. Two of the colors are identical between the two models. However, the signature color here is the Hazel.
Pixel 7 Pro Colors:
Pixel 7 Pro in Obsidian
The Obsidian color also makes an appearance for the Pixel 7 Pro, with the same deep black look as for the vanilla Pixel 7. The camera bar and frame of the phone have been re-tinted in a dark gray color. Yes, this is indeed a Pro looking color for a Pro phone. And here the polished aluminum camera bar adds a touch of premium to the look.
Pixel 7 Pro in the snow

The Pixel 7 Pro in Snow has the same bright and crisp white color as the Pixel 7, with the addition of the polished look of the camera bar. The camera bar and frame of the phone reappear in a silver color to complement the snowy associations that come to mind when we say Pixel 7 Pro in Snow (come on, let your imagination run wild here… and no, I don’t mean you have to imagine your phone in the snow be artistic about it!)
Pixel 7 Pro in Hazel

Here are the Pixel 7 Pro in Hazel and the Pixel 7 in Lemongrass shown during Google IO
The Hazel color for the Pixel 7 Pro may be the most popular, but even if it isn’t, the color is very different from all the colors listed here and certainly shows some character. The camera bar and frame of the Pixel 7 Pro in Hazel appear to be a coppery color, which complements the back of the phone fashionably and interestingly.
The Hazel color is beautiful and different, and we haven’t seen it often on a phone. Judging by the images, Google has successfully pulled this look out of the closet.
Conclusion: Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro look stylish, exciting and different
While Google’s two flagship phones have yet to be officially announced (as usual, this should be sometime in the fall), the teaser Google showed us has us excited. The colors and the improvements to the camera bar design look beautiful, and we can’t wait to see what these phones look like in real life. And on top of that, Google tries to make the Pixels stand out even when it comes to sheer looks. Well, the design is unique and interesting, and we all know that the smartphone market needs a new look to freshen things up.
