It’s great for lighting up the darkness, but if you accidentally do it with your iPhone 13, you might be wondering how to turn it off. Fortunately, you can turn off your phone’s built-in flashlight with just a few taps on the iPhone 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro, or 13 Pro Max. Here’s how.
Turn off your iPhone flashlight on the lock screen
The lock screen stands guard when your iPhone wakes up from standby mode. You can perform various functions on this screen, such as opening the camera quickly.
In addition, it is easy to turn off the flashlight on the lock screen. To do this, place your finger on the flashlight icon in the lower left corner of the screen and hold it there, performing a “long press”.
In an instant you will feel haptic feedback indicating that the flashlight is off. You can turn your iPhone 13’s flashlight back on at any time by pressing and holding your finger on the flashlight icon again. Pretty easy, right?

Turn off your iPhone flashlight in Control Center
The lock screen is not the only way to control the flashlight on your iPhone 13. You can also do it in the Control Center, a special shortcut menu full of handy shortcuts. To turn off the flashlight this way, first open the Control Center by swiping down with one finger from the battery icon in the top right corner of the screen.
When the Control Center opens, look for the flashlight icon at the bottom of the screen. (If you don’t see the flashlight icon there, you can easily add it by adjusting the Control Center in Settings.) Tap the flashlight icon once.
Your iPhone’s flashlight turns off. Since this is a toggle switch, you can turn the flashlight back on this way at any time in the Control Center. And if you hold down the flashlight icon, you can even control the brightness. Good luck, and stay safe out there!
