Gmail makes it possible to change your account password from all your devices, including your iPhone. If you suspect you’ve been hacked, or if you just want to use a stronger password, change it using the iPhone Gmail app.
After you change your password, you must use the new password to sign in to Gmail (Google) on all your other devices. If you haven’t chosen a new password yet, check out our guide to creating and remembering strong passwords.
Remark: You must know your current password to be able to change it. If you’ve completely forgotten your Gmail password, you can easily recover it, provided you have access to your recovery options.

Update your Gmail password on an iPhone
Launch the Gmail app on your iPhone to begin the password change process. Next, tap your Google profile picture in the top right corner of Gmail.
From your profile menu, select ‘Manage your Google account’.
On the “Google Account” screen, from the list of tabs at the top, choose the “Security” tab.
In the ‘Sign in to Google’ section, select ‘Password’.
Type in your current password and tap “Next”.
On the new password page, tap the “New password” field and type in your newly generated password. Then type the same password in the “Confirm new password” field.
Then tap on ‘Change password’.
You will see a success message stating that your Gmail account password has been changed. And that’s all.
The safest way to store your new password is with a password manager, so check out our recommendations for the best password managers out there.
