This year’s Google I/O, the company’s annual developer conference, is just hours away. It runs from May 11 to May 12 at 1 p.m. Eastern (10 a.m. Pacific). But Google I/O isn’t just a developer conference. Google traditionally uses the event to announce new hardware, software, and updates to its apps and services, which is news any tech fan would appreciate. So let’s see what we expect Google to reveal tomorrow, at Google I/O 2022. While there haven’t been many leaks surrounding this year’s Google I/O, we expect Google to make at least some exciting announcements. . do during Google I/O 2022, including an overview of…
Android 13
We expect Google to show Android 13 publicly at I/O 2022. After all, the tech giant announces a new version of Android at every Google I/O conference. It also has the first beta version of Android 13, with new beta versions every month until the official Android 13 release this fall.
Android 13 can bring a whole host of new features
Since Android 13 may have many new features, we’ll just highlight a few here. To learn more about the new features of Android 13, visit: Android 13: Everything you need to know. With Android 13, apps may need to ask for permission after installation to show notifications. Yes, at this point you can prevent an app from sending notifications, but they are enabled by default when you install it.
It is also rumored that with Android 13 you can choose a different language for a certain app, without changing the general language settings.
Android 13 can also notify you when it detects that an app is overdone, draining your battery in the background. The message appears once every 24 hours if pumping continues. The latest version of Android may also come with a Phantom Process Killer, which prevents background apps from overloading the phone’s CPU.
Google Pixel watch
The Google Pixel Watch is something that has been rumored for years. It was first rumored to be coming in October 2021, but it was delayed. The reason was the global crisis of the chip shortage.
But in a tweet from March, leaker Jon Prosser stated that Google will only tease the Pixel Watch on I/O. Instead, the tech giant could officially announce its first-ever smartwatch with the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro in October. We’ll find out soon enough what the deal is.
Google I/O ’22
From what I understand, Google will officially announce the Pixel 6a + “tease” the Pixel Watch.
The Pixel 6a launch (in most markets) has been pushed back to July 28.

What to expect from the Google Pixel Watch?
From a recently captured photo of a Pixel Watch compared to a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, we can see that Google’s upcoming smartwatch has a round shape with a round display. While the Pixel Watch looks smaller, the screen size is nearly identical to the Watch 4 Classic.
Google Pixel 6a

It is very likely that Google will announce the budget Pixel 6a at this year’s Google I/O. Google has already unveiled ‘a’ series phones at its developer conferences. According to leaker Jon Prosser, Google will officially announce the Pixel 6a at Google I/O this year. He also added that the release of the Pixel 6a has been delayed to July 28 in most markets.
What do we expect the Google Pixel 6a to have under the hood?
Other possible specs for the Google Pixel 6a include:
- 6.2-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz
- 12.2 MP primary Sony IMX363 image sensor
- Ultra-wide-angle secondary lens with 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor
- 8MP front camera with IMX355 sensor
- 4,800mAh battery
- 30W fast charge
- 128GB storage
- Dimensions 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7 mm
We may see new Google Pixel Buds

according to leaker Jon ProsserGoogle may soon release new earbuds called Pixel Buds Pro. Unfortunately, he didn’t say much other than the possible colors of the ears, namely Real Red, Carbon, Limoncello and Fog. But under the name ‘Pro’, we expect these earbuds to be able to compete with other ‘Pro’ earphones such as the Galaxy Buds Pro, Beats Fit Pro and AirPods Pro.
We sincerely hope that Google will announce the Pixel Buds Pro at the event tomorrow. After all, the company doesn’t have a specific event where it will announce its latest earphones, and let’s not forget that it introduced its budget Pixel Buds A-Series through a blog post. So you never know how and when Google will announce its new Pixel Buds.
What topics do we expect Google to cover at I/O 2022?
Recently, Google posted a poll on Twitter asking users to vote on which updates they were most excited to see at this year’s Google I/O. The company offered four options:
- Security updates
- Message updates
- Updates for various devices
- New collaborations
The Material Design team also posted a poll asking users which of the following topics Android fans were looking forward to I/O:
- Variable Fonts
- Design and accessibility
- Chat with our team
- All of the above
These polls were likely intended to tease the public and hint at what topics to expect at Google I/O 2022.
