Last year’s Clamshell Galaxy Z Flip 3 offered a major design change from the previous version: it came with a much larger cover screen and a different camera layout. Rumors and leaked renders had said the Flip 4 would get a low-key makeover and it looks like they were spot on as newly surfaced real-world images of the phone match those rumours.
Small changes, big impact
Leaked Z Flip 4 image shows a barely visible crease
The screen bezels look a bit thinner and as rumors had said the Z Flip 4 appears to have a thinner hinge, but it doesn’t seem to serve a functional purpose as there’s still a huge gap between the two halves of the device when it is folded.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 may come with a thinner hinge
At first glance, the cover screen appears to be the same size, but according to Mr_TechTalkTV, it has grown slightly larger. Rumor has it that the size will increase from 1.9 inches to 2.1 inches.
The position of the physical fingerprint sensor has not changed and is still located on the right side, embedded in the lock button. The camera layout and camera specs also remain unchanged meaning the phone has a vertical array with two 12MP cameras.

The Z Flip 4 is expected to have a slightly larger bezel panel than the Flip 3″
Other tidbits include the same two-tone design and a smooth matte look. Like its predecessor, the Flip 4 also apparently has Armor Aluminum material and glass panels on the front and back.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 may offer a bigger battery
The source who leaked these images also revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a longer battery life than the Flip 3, making the rumors about the battery capacity of 3,300 mAh to 3,700 mAh correct. This seems to explain why the phone would be thicker than the outgoing model.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is the world’s most popular foldable phone, but battery life is considered a drawback, so it’s great that Samsung is tackling this with the next generation and this change could make Flip 4 the best foldable phone of 2022. to make.
Users can also quickly charge the battery as leaks say the charging speed will increase from 15W to 25W.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and is expected to double the maximum storage capacity to 512GB. Samsung will reportedly unveil the phone on August 10 at its next Unpacked event alongside the book-like Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Watch 5.
